Rosa McLaughlin

Rosa McLaughlin is originally from Letterkenny but has been living in the Belfast area since 1990. She left her native Donegal to attend Queens University Belfast where she studied Physics and gained her Degree in 1994. She went on to become a Teacher and was teaching in the greater Belfast Area when she was arrested in November 1996. She is the only republican remand prisoner in Maghaberry and expects to come to trial this year. Although not from a republican background Rosa has been a republican since her teenage years. She is now 25 and is using her time to enjoy more creative hobbies she didn't have time for outside such as art and woodwork.
